Le
Maître-Brasseur
The beer is the result of the skill and attention of
the Master Brewer.
Pierre Delcoigne gained his diploma in chemical & biochemical engineering
at l'Université Catholique de Louvain (U.C.L.). He then did 2 years
of specialisation in "Brewing Malting and Fermentation” at the
Louvain School of Brewing and obtained his Brewing Engineering diploma.
In November 1997, Pierre Delcoigne and Vinciane Wergifosse
acquired the Castel d'Irchonwelz (dating from the XII
Century) in order to develop their project of a craft
brewery. It took two years for construction works and
setting up the brew plant. The first brew of Gouyasse
went on sale in August 2000.
Pierre Delcoigne is responsible for managing the brewery
company. He is not only involved in all parts of the
production process but also what comes after.
Vinciane Wergifosse is responsible for HACCP (Hazard
Analysis and Critical Control Point – i.e. Food
Safety), Export and Customer Relations.
